1. Supermensch: The Legend of Shep Gordon
First up is Supermensch: The Legend of Shep Gordon, a film directed by Mike Myers, about the legendary Maui entertainment and culinary industry maven whose friends and clients are a virtual who’s who of household names and revered talent.
Supermensch will screen on Opening Night, Wednesday, June 4th at 8:00pm at the Seaside Cinema, located on the Chapel Lawn of the Grand Wailea and will be preceded by a Maverick Award Tribute to Shep Gordon.
3. Frank vs. God
4. The Grand Seduction
The Grand Seduction, directed by Don McKellar (Last Night) starring Brendan Gleeson and Taylor Kitsch on Saturday, June 7th at Seaside Cinema.
The small harbor of Tickle Cove is in dire need of a doctor so that the town can land a contract to secure a factory which will save the town from financial ruin. Village resident Murray French (Gleeson) leads the search, and when he finds Dr. Paul Lewis (Kitsch) he employs – along with the whole town – tactics to seduce the doctor to stay permanently.
5. Cuban Fury
Cuban Fury directed by James Griffiths and starring Nick Frost, Chris O’Dowd and Rashida Jones on Sunday, June 8th at Seaside Cinema.
Beneath Bruce Garrett’s shabby, overweight exterior, the passionate beating heart of a salsa king lays dormant. Only one woman can reignite his Latin fire. Spotlight hits, sweat drips, heels click – Nick Frost IS Cuban Fury!
From the team that brought you Shaun Of The Dead, Hot Fuzz and Paul, Cuban Fury is the hilarious, feel-good and must-see “dance comedy” of the summer. The film’s cast includes an ensemble of great British comedy talent including Nick Frost, Chris O’Dowd, Rashida Jones, Olivia Colman, Ian McShane and Kayvan Novak.
